The Story of the Creative Stone Company

Founded the summer of 1999.

     Cindy and her sister Pam (while visiting from Iowa) experimented by buying a bag of concrete mix, broke some plates and started making their first concrete garden stones.  They mixed half of the bag of cement with water stirred with a wood spoon, dumped it into to flower pot bases (on top of the broken dishes for design) and hoped for the best. After more experimenting, Cindy found her niche with making and decorating concrete. Cindy has been making stones ever since.  They constantly change in style and theme and always something new that comes to mind... and it is then made.

     For five years she has been selling out of her home, Jeep and now at the Creative Stone Company Store.  She still makes them in her garage workshop nearby; however she has to haul them to sell in her store.  Her daughter Tara, helps run the store and has quite a lot of her mothers skills in making and selling the garden items.

The Creative Stone Company located at 268 N. State Street, Westerville - one mile South of Polaris Parkway/Maxtown Rd.  (Route 3 & Old County Line Road).  

The Creative Stone Co. moved to its new location 5 blocks North of  Westerville’s Uptown area in February.  Our Home is now what used to be The Old Historic Trolley building used in the early 1900’s.  The Creative Stone Company offers decorative concrete Garden Stones, Birdbaths, mushrooms, planters & table tops made by local artist Cindy Lindahl. 

Stones for every occasion: Large size for durability to walk on or choose from various decorative holiday,  sports, animals, butterflies, lady bugs.  We are more than just concrete…we also offer hand made Scarves, Afghans & baby or doll blankets.  Candles, soaps, jewelry, wall art & collectibles are also found to keep you coming back for more.
